- USE ALL THE LINKS - It has taken us some time to put together all of the links for long stay (backpackers) insurance. Make sure you are getting the best deal possible by using all of the links. OK, it might take you a few minutes getting quotes from them all, but you're here to save money aren't you?
- COVER - If you travel light, you can save money by excluding the baggage option. Basic cover for medical expenses only is much cheaper so consider if it's worth insuring your baggage - which might be already covered by your home insurance policy.
- DON'T TRAVEL WITHOUT IT - Getting sick abroad can be very expensive. Remember, there is no NHS in foreign countries. You should also purchase your insurance before you travel, as you may be refused a visa without it and most policies will not cover you if your trip has already commenced. If you can't afford travel insurance, you can't afford to travel.
- ENJOY! - Have a nice trip, with the peace of mind knowing that you're covered should anything go wrong.
